Farhad AlRashedy

Farhad AlRashedy, MD

Specialty: Emergency Medicine, Endoscopy/ Colonoscopy

Location: Ferry County Memorial Hospital

Dr. AlRashedy has been with FCPHD since September 1992. He obtained his medical degree while in Baghdad. After immigrating to the U.S., he completed residency at the North Oakland Medical Center in 1992.

He routinely performs EGD’s, colonoscopies, geriatric care, ultrasound guided injections, and same day surgeries, as well as emergency care.

Richard Garcia

Richard Garcia, DO

Chief of Medicine/Chief of Staff

Specialty: Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist and Urgent Care

Location: Ferry County Memorial Hospital

Dr. Garcia is currently working at Ferry County Memorial Hospital, specializing in ER and Urgent Care. He is sometimes seen in the Republic Medical Clinic on an as-needed basis only, to accommodate overflow when patients have sudden, urgent needs.

He earned his BA & MA at Michigan State University in East Lansing. He went on to earn his DO (Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine) at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, and is currently a Captain in the Army National Guard.

Dr. Garcia enjoys various outdoor opportunities in his spare time, such as camping, hiking, kayaking, skiing, hunting, etc.

Jim Corbett

Jim Corbett, MPA-C

Specialty: Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist and Urgent Care

Location: Ferry County Memorial Hospital

Jim has been a familiar face around the District for many years. He is currently working at Ferry County Memorial Hospital, focusing on hospital care and ER. He sometimes works in the Republic Medical Clinic on an as-needed basis only, to help accommodate overflow.

Jim received a BS in microbiology from the University of Idaho in 1986. He then went to train at Deaconess Medical Center and earned a degree as a Medical Technologist, working there in the lab for several years. He began training at the UW Medex PA program and graduated in 1996. His first job as a PA-C was here at FCPHD, where he trained under Dr. Stevenson for years. He went on to earn a Masters degree in PA Studies from the University of Nebraska in 2004. He has worked extensively in general and emergency medicine and has gone on several Medical Mission trips, including Uganda and Peru. He has been wintering in Arizona for the past several winters, working at an Urgent Care and as a night hospitalist.

When Jim isn’t working, he can be found traveling and spending time with his family. He enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking, sailing, biking, skiing, and golf.

Craig Christopher

Craig Christopher, PA-C

Specialty: Family Medicine and Primary Care

Location: Republic Medical Clinic

Craig works as a Family Practice and Primary Care Provider at Republic Medical Clinic. He particularly enjoys working with mood disorders, dermatology, and performing small surgeries.

Craig earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska, College of Medicine, in 1981. His first position was working with a General Surgeon in Tecumseh, Nebraska. The two managed a 20 bed hospital, Emergency room, Ambulance service, Clinic, and three nursing homes. In 1988, Craig moved to Washington, where he practiced seventeen years as a remote solo provider for Douglas County Hospital District and Ambulance service.

When Craig is not working, he enjoys flying competition aerobatics. He also enjoys backpacking, water skiing, and rebuilding experimental aircraft.

Jeannette Bauer

Jeannette Bauer, ARNP

Specialty: Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist and Urgent Care

Location: Ferry County Memorial Hospital

Jeannette is currently working at Ferry County Memorial Hospital, specializing in ER and Urgent Care. She is sometimes seen in the Republic Medical Clinic on an as-needed basis only, to accommodate overflow when patients have sudden, urgent needs.

Jeannette earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, WA. By 2006, She had continued her medical education and graduated with a Masters in Nursing Science from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She then became Board Certified as a Family Practice ARNP with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She worked in multiple areas of nursing, with a majority of her time spent in the ER, and has worked in a variety of settings as an NP, including primary care and hospice.

In her downtime, Jeannette enjoys spending time with her family, and enjoys music, scrapbooking and sewing. She also enjoys outdoor activities like fishing, hiking, hunting and shooting.

Mari Hunter

Mari Hunter, ARNP

Specialty: Family Medicine and Primary Care

Location: Republic Medical Clinic

Mari is known by many people in the community and is working as a Family Practice and Primary Care Provider at Republic Medical Clinic.

Mari earned her Associates in Nursing (RN) in 1990, but then decided to pursue further. She earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in nursing from Regents College in 1997. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from Western University of Health Sciences in 1999 and completed her doctorate in 2008 from rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Since 2003 she has been certified through American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Mari enjoys sheep farming and has had her flock for many years. She likes to spin and weave the wool from her sheep, and also enjoys the craft of crocheting.

Jodi Petersen

Joseph (Jodi) Petersen, ARNP

Specialty: Family Medicine and Primary Care

Jodi works as a Family Practice and Primary Care Provider at Republic Medical Clinic. He has always worked in Rural Healthcare and enjoys that setting.

Jodi earned his nursing degree before moving on to complete his ARNP studies at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He then finished his family practice requirements at NE Washington Health Programs Association and began working there fulltime. He worked for over 8 years at the Selkirk Community Health Center in Ione, WA, before moving his family to Republic.

When Jodi is not at the Clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids. They enjoy hiking and outdoor sports.

Jane Jacobson

We are pleased to welcome Jane back! Jane previously worked at our Curlew location 2013-2016, but then moved for a brief time to Western Washington. She is now working full time as a Family Practice and Primary Care Provider at Republic Medical Clinic.

Jane earned her Bachelor of Science from the Universities of St. Francis in Joliet, IL and the Illinois Masonic Medical Center School of Nursing in Chicago, IL. In 2013 she earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA., graduating with Honors. She enjoys working in rural healthcare and believes that her and the patient work as a team to ensure the healthiest and most productive life possible.

In her spare time, Jane enjoys quilting, spending time in her garden, and reading.
