Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)/Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)/Medical Technologist (MT)

JOB SUMMARY

Ferry County Health Laboratory is located in a critical access hospital and provides access to laboratory services for outpatients, inpatients, ER department, and clinic. This position is a certified laboratory professional with the ability to perform waived, moderate, and high complexity testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Molecular Diagnostics. The desired candidate will be required to perform specimen collections, process and analyze samples in the clinical laboratory, provide quality customer service, and act as a knowledgeable resource for the hospital and community.

General Responsibilities

Responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures. Responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste, and fraud.

Essential Duties

  1. Prepare or direct preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems.
    1. Determine amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems.
    2. Ensure availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation.
    3. Set steam table; serve or ensure proper serving of food for tray line or dining room.
  2. Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards. Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques.
  3. Store food properly and safely, marking date and item.
  4. Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor.

  1. Correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders.

Job Purpose:

Supports patient care unit operations by maintaining the nursing station; gathering and providing information to professional staff, patients, and their families; providing clerical services.

Job Summary: Performs a variety of direct patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the age related personal needs and comforts of residents. Serves as the supplemental eyes, ears, and hand of the Manager. Much of the basic day-to-day care of the resident such as bathing, dressing, eating, toileting and transferring is delegated to the NAC as per personal plan of care. NAC reports observations made while performing her/his duties to the Manager and Nurse Oversight. NAC is responsible for assisting elderly people who are in need of 24 hour oversight.

Physical Therapist

Job Summary

Ferry County Health is seeking a Full-time Physical Therapist. The desired candidate will be self-motivated and possess an entrepreneurial spirit in order to build and support a successful rehab program. This person will be proficient with a variety of patient populations including; orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary impairments. Primary caseload will be a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient care. This includes providing care for long-term care residents and consultations in the emergency department. The successful candidate will be able to advocate our services to surrounding facilities and maintain strong relationships around the region.

Occupational Therapist

Our super team of therapists is hoping to add a full-time Occupational Therapist to their practice. This individual will bring strong clinical decision making skills, will be self-motivated and proficient in working with a variety of individuals with a wide range of medical conditions including orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary impairments. Primary caseload is approximately 50% outpatient orthopedic and 50% inpatient. Caseload is quality, not quantity driven. Ideal candidates will have many opportunities for program development, collaboration with nursing and providers, spending time assisting with activities for LTC, acute, and Swing Bed patients. Home visits, assisting with DME needs, and coordination for discharge planning will be required for capable candidates. Multi-disciplinary therapy team includes four full-time Physical Therapists, one part-time Physical Therapy Assistant, two Rehab Aides, and a Front Office Coordinator.

Referral Coordinator (Internal Recruitment Only)

JOB SUMMARY

The Referral Coordinator functions as the primary contact for outgoing referrals from the Providers of Republic Medical Clinic. This individual will provide a centralized source for information regarding the referral process, receiving and tracking referrals, and referral sources. The Referral Coordinator monitors the referral process and communicates with the Clinic Director on the status of all referrals and if adjustments need to be made for improvement. This position reports to the Revenue Cycle Supervisor.

Part Time Housekeeper

Basic Qualifications: Perform duties that maintains a clean and safe environment for Patients, visitors, and employees. Duties include cleaning all areas of the hospital with the exception of maintenance, kitchen, and laundry

Essential Duties Task List:

  1. Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department.
  2. Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
  3. Completes work assignments in a timely manner.
  4. Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
  5. Uses and maintains equipment properly.
  6. Assists visitors with directions whenever requested.
  7. Always introduces self to patients, families and visitors.
  8. Reports safety hazards as appropriate.
  9. Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
  10. Replenishes supplies.
  11. Follows all infection prevention and control practices, including Standard Precautions, Transmission-Based Precautions and hand hygiene.

Behavioral Health - Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing social service functions in the behavioral healthcare setting. Provides psychosocial assessments, mental health treatment and referral to community resources where indicated to patients in collaboration with medical care team.
