Clinical Assistant

Basic Qualifications: General office skills (training or experience)

File/Chart control – assemble and analyze patient charts, file patient charts and paperwork into patient files. Under the direction of department manager and according to HIPAA standards purge and destroy patient files. Insure quality of data processed, completeness, accuracy and conformance with all regulatory standards. Organize according to set format patient medical records and file charts. Insure that all medical information documents are properly filed in a timely manner. Organize and scan documents into patient EMR with the goal of meeting the facility goal of becoming paperless.

Perform other related task/duties as may be requested or assigned by Manager for the effective and efficient function of the department and District operations.

Experience: One year related experience in reception and/or patient care preferred.

Human Resources Assistant

Ferry County Public Hospital District is currently searching for a part time Human Resources assistant to join our HR team.

Basic Qualifications: Must be proficient in managing multiple projects and working within established timeframes.

Education/Training: High School graduate or GED (required). Associate degree in Management or Human Resources studies or related fields (preferred).

Skill(s): Technical skills must include PC proficiency in a “Windows” format; a command of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to produce reports and graphic presentations, typing at least 65 wpm, navigating with Web browsers, and operating standard office equipment.

Experience: Minimum of two years office experience with intermediate to advanced computer skills.

General Duties:

Under the general supervision of a licensed nurse performs a variety of direct patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the age related personal needs and comforts of patients/residents. Much of the basic day-to-day care of the patient/resident – bathing, dressing, eating, toileting and transferring - is delegated to the NA-C. Responsible for routinely checking vital signs and providing skin care. The NA-C reports observations made while performing her/his duties to the licensed nurse. The licensed nurse uses these reports to further assess patients/residents and make appropriate care-plan decisions. NA-C activities are crucial to helping patients/residents attain and/or maintain their highest level of functioning.

QI Director, Risk Manager, Compliance Officer

Job Summary:

Quality Improvement Director: Responsible for planning and implementing the quality improvement program to meet the needs of the District. Provides education to medical staff, District staff and Governing Body. Facilitates improvement activities and QI activities throughout the hospital. Acts as resource person to administrative team, department managers and medical staff. Performs clinical risk management functions. Oversight responsibility for all regulatory body surveys, i.e., State Licensing Review, CMS Validation surveys. Maintains oversight responsibility for all Quality improvement activities conducted throughout the institution.

Risk Manager: Responsible for clinical identification, risk evaluation and coordination of corrective action implementation related to risk issues. Provides intervention and education related to risk management issues to promote safe work practices and quality care and services in an environment that is beneficial to the safety, health and well being of all patients, visitors and District staff. Coordinates risk programs with all District departments, administration and the legal counsel. Reports real and potential risk situations to the Governing Body, medical staff, administration, District departments and committees, as appropriate. Responsible for establishing and monitoring methods to avoid, eliminate and/or reduce risk situations associated with the provision of patient care and services.

Compliance Officer: Establishes monitors and updates the facility's corporate compliance program. Demonstrates knowledge and keen understanding of all applicable laws and regulations. Educates all facility staff, outside contractors and agents of the requirements of the corporate compliance program. Has the authority to recommend disciplinary action when appropriate. Chairs the Compliance Committee meeting, schedules and records committee meeting minutes.

Prepare and transmit direct deposit files by deadlines Ensure proper employee contribution deductions are in place for medical, dental insurance, 457b. This Position

The District is looking for an experienced Coder. The chosen candidate will review ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for inpatient and outpatient medical records by using either computerized or manual systems, hospital coding (inpatient and outpatient) as well as physician practice coding. As the District Coder, you will review ambulatory, inpatient and outpatient medical records for pertinent and justifiable medical information to verify or assign classification (ICD-10, 10-CM, CPT) and reimbursement codes that adhere to coding and sequencing guidelines and conventions. Review coding of denials screened by the Denial Management team to determine if CPT and ICD-10 codes were billed correctly based on the medical record.

Part-Time Cook

Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Current Food Handlers permit. Must be 18 years of age.

Skill(s): Moderate reading and writing skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less; manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Experience: Prior experience in related food service positions required.

General Responsibilities

Responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures. Responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste, and fraud.

Essential Duties

  1. Prepare or direct preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems.
    1. Determine amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems.
    2. Ensure availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation.
    3. Set steam table; serve or ensure proper serving of food for tray line or dining room.
  2. Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards. Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques.
  3. Store food properly and safely, marking date and item.
  4. Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor.

Task List - Cook

  1. Correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders.
  2. Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food is preserved.
  3. Apportion food for serving.
  4. Maintain daily production records.
  5. Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.
  6. Complete food temperature checks before service.

Other Duties

  1. Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.
  2. Prepare and serve food for special functions as assigned.
